Boys Varsity Wrestling · Jake Mumper ’20 qualifies for state!

For the first time since 2012, Roger Bacon will be sending a wrestler to the OHSAA State Tounament.

Jake Mumper ’20 took 4th place this weekend at the DIII District Tournament in Troy, OH. To view the district bracket/results – please click here.

Mumper now has raked up an impressive 44-3 record this season and earned his 100th career win this weekend as well. He also set two single season records this weekend as well:

  • Pins in one season (31)
  • Wins in one season (43)

Due to the COVID-19 precautions, the wrestling state tournament has been suspended and will probably be cancelled pending an OHSAA release expected on Friday, 3/13.

The last wrestler to make it to State was DeVon Thomas ’12.
