The Roger Bacon boys’ and girls’ cross country teams competed at the Madisonville 5K on Saturday morning. 17 runners earned season-best times for the Spartans! The girls were led by freshman Kenzie Ott and junior Abbie Schneider, in her first cross country meet of the season! Leading the boys were junior Dylan Griffis, freshman Kevin Otto, and senior Elijah Fredette, who kept the Hawaiian theme from Friday’s football game going by running the entire race in a grass hula skirt.
Big moves also came from freshman Ethan Caton, sophomore Emily Ruoff, junior Donald Vieth, and senior Wongel Yohannes, who all broke their personal records on Saturday!
The team will return to competition in two weeks, after a well-earned Saturday off next weekend. Great job Spartan runners!
